The teachers being vague so I'm writing about musicals I haven't seen.

I haven't seen Wicked, but I haven't seen many other Broadway musicals either so I'm writing about it.

I like the idea of going to see Wicked because I've heard so many good things about it and even heard snip its of the music and have enjoyed the shorts I've heard.

I probably haven't seen Les Misérables either, but do I care?

I found it really surprising when I found out that the whole Les Misérables is sung all the way through and doesn't have parts in between the songs that are normally spoken.

I really should watch Matilda, but take a guess of what I didn't do... Watch it!

I am not the biggest fan of Matilda because of how it was edited and how it didn't stick any closer to the original book by Roald Dahl, I still like the musical though.

Wandering through the graveyard it felt like something was watching me...

I didn't feel so confident visiting Grandma Rose anymore, I squeezed the bouquet of flowers that I held tightly and kept walking through the darkness. It felt like the spirits were watching me, judging me, shaming me. I don't think they approve of what I did. But, I had to keep thinking of Grandma Rose. Then out of no where I trip on a tree root and fall face first into the ground getting a taste of the muddy grass that who knows what walked across, or floated. I shivered at the thought and picking up the bouquet, I got up only to realise I found Grandma Rose.

Grandma Rose was a sweet lady, I say that because she was a baker. A great one too, she would use the sweetest icing to decorate cupcakes and adorn them with icing roses. But, she was always lonely, I never really saw why. Grandma Rose was talented, beautiful and kind, kind enough to adopt me as her grand daughter from the orphanage I was left at so many years ago. I couldn't even muster the kind of happiness I felt that day, neither could I ever weep so much again.

"What is it you're looking for, pumpkin?" I didn't believe my ears, I couldn't. I could hear Grandma Rose. I looked behind me for the prankster, but saw no one, but a man at a grave mourning his loss. He was quite a way away so it couldn't of been him. I looked to her grave again and whispered her name into the night black sky. I saw nothing, but the shimmer of stars. I thought that I was just hoping that she would come back, and my mind was creating that reality. Who doesn't? Who wishes to see their loved ones go through death?

Well, I do know someone, the person who killed her, Grandma Rose, you wouldn't guess...

It had been her own son.

I didn't mean to kill her...

It was a mistake...

If I could turn back time, I would...

Just so I could save, her...

My sister, Avalynn...

It started three months ago, we were a pair of travelling students from Tokyo, Japan. We never travelled too far, we stayed in Japan. We went from school to school, looking to see if we could find a more permanent fixture. It was just me and Avalynn, travelling, most of my greatest memories are with her. We had been to so many places, the foot of the icy Mount Fuji, Disney Land was by far the best, but what we had planned was the best yet.

We were planning to go to the Sapporo Snow Festival it's held annually in Sapporo, Japan. We'd been to one in Susukino before, but this year we were headed for Tsudome, it's a multi-purpose hall located in Sapporo, Japan, and then we were travelling through some cities and even getting a ferry so we could go home in time for Hanami.

But, this trip was her last, we were so close.

MATH :'( GAME :D

Over some time we learnt about fractions, decimals and percentages and had to make a Digital Learning Object (DLO) to show what we learnt. On this blog post I will be talking about the game I have made.

BUT THIS IS NO ORDINARY GAME.

YOU WON'T EVEN NOTICE THAT YOU'RE LEARNING WHILE PLAYING IT.

LEARNING ABOUT:

DECIMALS

FRACTIONS

AND WORST OF ALL:

PERCENTAGES.

But okay really, the type of game I have made is basically making your way through the maze and picking the right answers on the right levels, they always are the same answers though wouldn't be too much fun if you had to play it for too long.

I also added a tricky little thing where you will only understand if you READ THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE SCRATCH SITE. It is where you will find out how to work the game. But it isn't exactly finished so if you did play it, it would be often changed around.

Here are the sources I used to help me with this game:

So, against the total subject, what do you think about a lot of Disney males, I mean Aladdin, Shang, even Maui, not having nipples? In other movies Disney males do still have nipples, don't ask it somehow came up in our maths class...

My friends and I are very frustrated and our now doing real research...

Strategies for being assertive

Passive
Not taking action and letting people do or say things to you. Not having the confidence to say or do anything.

Aggressive
Being forceful and hostile towards others or things. People who bully and harm others in physical and emotional ways are often known to be aggressive.

Assertive
Someone who is assertive is not afraid to state things to others. Standing up to others for others or your rights. Acknowledging both your and others needs/wants.

STRATEGIES FOR BEING ASSERTIVE

Knowing your priorities, what is important to you and how you will make sure you keep those priorities.

Eye contact, if you can’t maintain eye contact it will make you look and feel passive, if you can’t look someone in the eye look at their nose or forehead and make sure you know who you are talking to not just calling out ‘Hey you’ and expecting them to know it’s them you are talking to.

Body language, stand up straight, stand firm and don’t slouch, it will make you look and sound less convincing if you are trying to get something.

Voice, speak out, be loud, make your point, make sure what you say is heard and taken in by others.

“I” statements, don’t make it when you speak it’s all about what others are doing, make it about what you feel,

Small victories, celebrate them, they will help you become more confident and learn to celebrate thing you can do.
