Greed

"More, more, MORE" The greedy man screeched.

Nobody could stand him. He was a good for nothing king and taxed his own people thousands of dollars a year. His name was not known anymore, people just called him Greed. He hoarded all sort of objects, money was his favourite, he had 5 dogs, 6 cats, 10 ponies, 7 horses, 15 birds, and what his people thought were thousands of other animals. He had over 50 servants and that did not include his cooks and butlers. Yet the man could not have enough, he could never have enough. But, he still wanted it. He ate enough food to feed a family of three himself. His poor butler had to go with the man everywhere and has never in his 30 years of working with the man had a day off.

But, let us get back to Greed.

At this time he was demanding blankets, it was the middle of winter and he was demanding blankets from the entire town. He couldn't buy his own, no he had to take them from the town as the ones he had were keeping those ignored animals warm even though some of them were sweating lakes because of the heat. But, the 'king' would stop at nothing to get what he wanted. He would even execute children if that meant he would get what he wanted.

So we called him Greed.

  1. Great start to a story! What happened to Greed? How did this king meet his demise?
